FAQ

How many hours is this class?

This is Florida’s required 63-hour Sales Associate Prelicense Course I. Each classroom hour equals 50 minutes of instruction, and the 63 hours include the required end-of-course examination. The full course therefore contains 3,150 minutes of approved instructional and examination time.

Where is this course held?
This course is held at 771 S. Kirkman Rd. Suite 110. Students may also attend via live streaming.

The course is delivered live online. Students may attend from an appropriate location with reliable internet, working audio, and the equipment needed to participate in the live classroom.

The course is not self-paced or recorded for later completion. Students must attend the published class dates and times and remain available for attendance verification.

The access link and login instructions are provided to enrolled students before the first class.

What if I can't make a class?

Contact us, Blu Street Academy, as soon as you know that you may miss a class. All missed live instructional time counts toward the eight-hour absence limit.

Florida rules permit illness-related make-up instruction for the student or a member of the student’s family, but the make-up must cover the original material missed. Unless FREC grants additional approval, illness-related make-up instruction and examinations may not extend more than 30 days beyond the scheduled class examination.

Other emergencies and transfer requests are reviewed under Blu Street Academy’s Enrollment, Refund, Transfer, and Rescheduling Policy. Depending on the amount of instruction missed and the available schedule, a student may need to transfer to a later class or restart the course. Attendance requirements cannot be waived.

What if I fail the end of course exam?

A score of at least 70% is required to pass the Blu Street Academy end-of-course examination.

If you do not pass:

  • You must wait at least 30 days before retesting.
  • You may take one retest within one year of the original examination.
  • The retest will use a different approved examination form.
  • If you do not pass the permitted retest, Florida rules require you to repeat the course before taking the end-of-course examination again.

The end-of-course examination is separate from the Florida state licensing examination.

Does this course help me with the state exam?

Yes. The Florida state Sales Associate examination is based on knowledge, understanding, and application of the real estate principles, practices, laws, and mathematics contained in the Commission-prescribed prelicense course syllabus.

Blu Street Academy supports that preparation through:

  • Live instructor-led explanations;
  • Application-based questions and examples;
  • Practice with Florida real estate laws, principles, and calculations;
  • Structured attendance and study accountability;
  • The KEEPers Two-Week Social Action Plan; and
  • Strategies for reviewing weak areas and preparing for examination conditions.

The school examination and the state examination are separate. Passing the course does not guarantee passage of the state examination or issuance of a real estate license. Florida law prohibits real estate schools from guaranteeing that students will pass a licensing examination

What is the pass rate of this school?

Blu Street Academy does not publish an unsupported or estimated state-examination pass rate.

Any future pass-rate information will be based on documented student results, a clearly identified reporting period, and enough completed examinations to make the information meaningful. Florida requires school advertising and public claims to be accurate, supported by evidence, and not misleading or exaggerated.

In accordance with Florida rules, we do not guarantee a passing score. We provide approved instruction, practical preparation, structured support, and clear expectations. Each candidate remains responsible for attendance, study, application, and performance on the state examination.

What if I fail the state exam?

Failing the state examination does not erase your successful completion of the prelicense course. Your course-completion certificate remains valid for two years from the course-completion date. You must present a valid certificate each time you report to take the state examination.

You may register and pay for another state-examination attempt while your eligibility and course certificate remain valid.

Candidates who fail may also request a review of the questions they answered incorrectly. The request must be made within 21 days after the examination and is conducted under DBPR and Pearson VUE procedures.

Why should I choose Blu Street Academy?

Many schools can provide access to the required material. Blu Street Academy is designed for candidates who want a more structured and supportive live-learning experience.

Our KEEPers approach brings together:

Kindness — Questions are welcomed, and students are treated with respect.

Experience — Course concepts are connected to practical Florida real estate situations.

Energy — Live instruction, discussion, and structured study keep the learning process active.

Professionalism — Attendance, examination integrity, preparation, and course requirements are managed clearly and consistently.

Students also receive the KEEPers Two-Week Social Action Plan to help protect study time, reduce distractions, build stronger review habits, and remain focused through course completion and state-examination preparation.  The people are so nice!
