                        The Candidate Information Booklet itself states that it is not a study guide and does not replace the study material provided by an approved real estate instructor and school. Blu Street Academy will deliver the exact FREC-approved Course II syllabus (72 Hour Brokers Pre License Course), learning objectives, instructional sequence, materials, and examination plan.

                        FAQ

                        How many hours is this class?

                        Florida requires the broker prelicense course to consist of 72 classroom hours of 50 minutes each, inclusive of the end-of-course examination. Before sitting for the state broker examination, the applicant must provide proof of satisfactory completion of an approved 72-hour broker prelicense course. Your Blu Street Course Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of this course. The course-completion certificate is valid for two years.

                        Am I eligible to take the Brokers Course?

                        The course is intended for individuals preparing to qualify for a Florida real estate broker license.

                        A broker applicant generally must:

                        • Be at least 18 years old;
                        • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
                        • Meet Florida’s character and background requirements;
                        • Have been registered as an active sales associate for at least 24 months during the preceding five years under one or more brokers, or satisfy another qualifying experience category recognized by Florida;
                        • Hold a current and valid license; and
                        • Complete any required sales associate post-licensing education before becoming eligible for broker licensure.

                        A person may take the broker course before submitting the broker application, but completing the course alone does not establish eligibility for licensure. DBPR makes the final eligibility determination.

                        Where is the course held?

                        This course is delivered live online through a scheduled livestream classroom.

                        It is instructor-led and is not a self-paced or prerecorded course. Candidates attend on the published dates and times using a compatible computer or device, reliable internet service, working audio, and any other equipment identified in the enrollment instructions.

                        Florida recognizes livestream and video-conference delivery as classroom instruction when it is presented live by an instructor and students are in attendance.

                        How are attendance hours calculated?

                        Florida counts one classroom hour as 50 minutes of live instruction. Breaks and other noninstructional periods are excluded.

                        Late arrivals, early departures, disconnections, and other missed live instruction are recorded as absences. Blu Street Academy cannot issue satisfactory course completion when a student has missed more than eight classroom hours, equal to 400 instructional minutes.

                        What happens if I cannot attend a class?

                        Contact Blu Street Academy as soon as you know you may miss class. Every missed portion of live instruction counts toward the eight-hour absence limit.

                        Florida permits make-up instruction related to illness of the student or a family member. The make-up must cover the original course material missed and generally may not extend more than 30 days beyond the scheduled class examination without FREC approval.

                        Depending on the amount of instruction missed and the available schedule, a candidate may need to attend approved make-up instruction, transfer to another course date, or restart the course. Attendance requirements cannot be waived.

                        [Read the Attendance Policy]
                        [Read the Enrollment, Refund, Transfer, and Rescheduling Policy]

                        What happens if I fail the end-of-course examination?

                        A score of at least 70% is required to pass Blu Street Academy’s FREC-approved end-of-course examination.

                        A student who fails must wait at least 30 days before retesting. One retest is permitted within one year of the original examination, and the school must use a different approved examination form. A student who does not pass the permitted retest must repeat the course before taking the end-of-course examination again.

                        The school examination is separate from the Florida broker state examination.

                        What happens if I fail the Florida broker state examination?

                        A score of at least 75 points is required to pass the Florida Broker Licensure Examination. Candidates who do not pass may register and pay for another examination attempt while their application eligibility and course-completion certificate remain valid.

                        A candidate who fails may request a review of the questions answered incorrectly. The request must be made within 21 days after the examination and is conducted under DBPR and Pearson VUE procedures.

                        How long is the course-completion certificate valid?

                        The 72-hour Broker Prelicense Course completion certificate is valid for two years from the date of completion.

                        Candidates must present proof of a valid prelicense course-completion certificate each time they report for the state examination. An expired certificate will not be accepted, even when the candidate’s authorization to test remains active.

                        Does this course prepare me for the state broker examination?

                        Yes. Florida requires the broker examination to test knowledge, understanding, and application of:

                        • Real estate law;
                        • Real estate principles and practices;
                        • Appraisal;
                        • Finance;
                        • Investment;
                        • Brokerage management; and
                        • Real estate mathematics.

                        The state examination is closed-book, contains 100 multiple-choice questions, allows 3½ hours, and covers 12 official content areas.

                        Blu Street Academy’s course supports preparation through live instruction, broker-level scenarios, brokerage-management applications, escrow and compliance exercises, contracts, valuation, investment, finance, closing calculations, practice questions, and structured review.

                        Passing the school examination does not guarantee passage of the state examination or issuance of a broker license.

                        Why should I take the broker course with Blu Street Academy?

                        Blu Street Academy is designed for candidates who want more than passive access to course material.

                        The course combines:

                        Small-group livestream instruction
                        Candidates learn in a focused setting where questions, discussion, and practical application are encouraged.

                        Broker-level application
                        The course emphasizes how laws, rules, finance, valuation, contracts, escrow, supervision, and brokerage operations apply to real broker responsibilities.

                        Structured accountability
                        Published schedules, attendance tracking, clear examination standards, and guided review help candidates stay engaged through completion.

                        The KEEPers approach
                        Kindness, Experience, Energy, and Professionalism shape the learning environment without reducing Florida’s compliance expectations.

                        State-examination alignment
                        The curriculum is delivered through the FREC-approved Course II syllabus while also helping candidates understand the official broker examination content outline.

                        Blu Street Academy does not promise effortless completion or guarantee passage. The school provides organized instruction, practical support, clear expectations, and a professional environment for serious candidates preparing for broker licensure.
